Safe Shores – The DC Children’s Advocacy Center is committed to being a safe, helpful, and trustworthy resource, available to everyone who needs our services and support. Due to COVID-19, we are observing federal and local government public health protection guidelines. Upon arrival, visitors will complete a COVID-19 screening (questions and temperature check) and may be asked to wear a mask. If you have recently had COVID-19, you must wear a mask on the premises for the full 10 days from the date of exposure or infection, consistent with DC Health Department and CDC guidance.

There is No Place for Racism or Other Hatred, Period.

The Anti-Asian violence that continues to be perpetrated in the U.S. — most recently the killings this week in Atlanta — is yet a deplorable and intolerable manifestation of the evil of racism.  In the world Safe Shores is working to create, where every child has a safe, healthy, and joyful childhood, there is no place for racism or other hatred, period.

To our AAPI family, co-workers, friends and neighbors, please know you are seen, you matter, and such violence should never happen to you. Safe Shores stands in solidarity with you against anti-AAPI racism, hatred and violence.

We will also hold space to support you as you need, individually and collectively.
