Make the Season Special for Young Survivors
Every year, Safe Shores invites our community to help make the holiday season brighter for children and families impacted by abuse and violence in DC–people they may never meet, but with whom they can help celebrate the holidays. Nearly 300 kindhearted people came together to raise over $40,000! With this support, we provided caregivers of 217 children with gift cards so that they could purchase presents, big bows and sparkly wrapping paper, cozy winter pajamas, and whatever else would make a meaningful holiday for them.
Will you help make this holiday season brighter by donating to Safe Shores’ Holiday Giving Drive? We plan to serve as many families as we can, and we anticipate delivering gifts to at least 200 children. You can help kids and teens impacted by trauma receive gifts that were lovingly selected with them in mind. Their supportive family members will be able to enjoy the festivity of shopping without the financial stressors which often accompany the holidays.
Donate to Support Holiday Giving
You can help give the gift of support through the 2022 holiday season and beyond! Any surplus funds raised will go directly toward Safe Shores’ general operations, ensuring that our services are always free to child survivors and their supportive family members. Please consider making a gift today!
P.S. – Want to do more? When we sent out our feedback survey after Pack2School, we heard from people that they wanted to be able to help out even more. Now you have a chance!
