Last week, during the final board meeting of the 2023 Fiscal Year, the Safe Shores Board of Directors unanimously voted in new board member (and long-time supporter) Dian Holton. This meeting also marked the last for Board Chair Lynn J. English who has served on the board since 2016!
Please join us in thanking Lynn for her dedicated service over the last seven years, and welcoming Dian to the board! Read more about Dian below:
Dian Holton
Dian Holton is senior deputy art director at AARP Media, art director for the bestselling book Do The Work, and a Goethe Washington DC design moderator. She has been working with GAP, Inc. for over 22 years as stylist, interior and exterior display associate.
Dian served on the board of AIGA’s Washington DC chapter for 14 years, where she launched SHINE-a mentoring program. Her passions include education, philanthropy, fashion and pop culture. I received a BS in Graphic Design/Print management from Florida A&M University and paused on my Fashion Marketing degree from Parsons The New School.
We are delighted to welcome Dian onto the Safe Shores Board of Directors!
Lynn English
After seven years of dedicated service on Safe Shores Board of Directors, Lynn English has reached the end of her term. Lynn joined the Safe Shores Board of Directors in 2016 and helped Safe Shores navigate the COVID years, including two years she spent as board chair.
We are immensely grateful for her leadership, graciousness, and dedication. Lynn, thank you for generously giving your time, talent, and treasure and continually showing up for child victims of abuse, Safe Shores’ staff, and your board colleagues!
Thank you, Lynn!
