Message Regarding Our COVID-19 Policies

Safe Shores – The DC Children’s Advocacy Center is committed to being a safe, helpful, and trustworthy resource, available to everyone who needs our services and support. Due to COVID-19, we are observing federal and local government public health protection guidelines. Upon arrival, visitors will complete a COVID-19 screening (questions and temperature check) and may be asked to wear a mask. If you have recently had COVID-19, you must wear a mask on the premises for the full 10 days from the date of exposure or infection, consistent with DC Health Department and CDC guidance.

Event Series Event Series: Stewards of Children®

In-Person Stewards of Children® Training

Stewards of Children® is an evidence-informed training that teaches adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. Through interviews with child sexual abuse survivors, experts, and treatment providers, Stewards of Children® teaches adults practical actions they can take to reduce instances of child sexual abuse in their organizations, families, and communities.

TRIGGER WARNING: This training contains a mix of survivor stories, expert advice, practical guidance for prevention of child sexual abuse, and other topics that you may find uncomfortable; triggering of your own experiences or may create uncomfortable thoughts or emotions. If you need support before, during, or after the training, please contact the National Sexual Assault Hotline 800-656-HOPE (4673). This hotline is available in both English and Spanish, and we encourage you to utilize this resource as you see fit.
